12 minute TABATA workout

Hello and welcome back! It’s been a week since my last blog post. In between there was a lot of work, my birthday and a big flu. I am really looking forward to do this workout later this week once I am feeling great again. But you can obviously challenge yourself with this 12 minute TABATA workout – Tabata workouts are great if you really have no time at all but still want to squeeze a workout in! They are made to get your heart rate very high in a short amount of time, so be sure that you are fit enough to do this workout!

I chose 8 exercises: each 2 for hiit, abdominal, upper body and lower body. Each exercise will be done for 20seconds followed by a 10seconds break. So 1 round of all 8 exercises takes 4 minutes!
I recommend doing 3 rounds in total which makes a 12 minute workout – but of course you can either do more or start slow with less rounds!

8 Exercises:

  • Jumping Jacks
  • Squat Jumps
  • Burpees
  • Push back to push up
  • Mountain Climber
  • V-Ups
  • Push down to lat extension to push up
  • Cycling (Abs: Opposite elbow to knee)
